First Friday is a monthly social mixer taking place on the First Friday of every month. It is an event where conservative minded people can come together talk about view points, hear what elected officials and potential candidates have to say in a comfortable informal event. Leveraging the grass roots phenomenon and the power of Web 2.0 community tools, First Friday is bringing conservative people together.

Here's pictures from January's first Friday event. This event saw some candidates and celebrities show up, such as Joey Gilbert, Sharon Angle, and Mark Amodei.
Our last First Friday Event contributed to two organizations, Kid's Kottage and Lima Troop 1-221 Cav. For Kids Kottage we collected toys and books which were distributed to children at the Kids Kottage gift giveaway.
Our second organization benefited from a gun raffle that was held at our last event. Assemblymen James Settlemeyer donated a Tarus handgun and Bizarre Guns proved another two guns. The raffle rasied enough money to redo the rec room as a welcome home gift for the unit currently deployed in Afghanistan. Lima Troop is based in Yerington, Nevada and also part of Assemblyman Settlemeyer's District. Many thanks goes out to Bizarre Guns, RC Wiley and Assemblyman James Settlemeyer.
